Communication with s7-315
#1
Hi,

I have a VTP-TC155 which I want to communicate to PLC s7-315 pn/dp. I want to do a transparent communication so less programming is needed in the PLC side. I was thinking of use S7 ethernet ISO, that is the best channel for this?
Also, there is a gsd file to integrate the hmi in Step 7 5.5 or Tia portal??

Thanks.
Regards.

Hello,
the ISO on TCP will be the right choice for communication with a S7-315.
To connect, you have to set up the IP adress of your plc in the communication settings, the TSAP schoul be 3/2.
If you have only one plc, you can set the IP adress completely like 192.168.100.22, if you have more plc´s in your network, you can set the IP adress like 192.168.100.0 and then set the station number in the VDF to 22 and to the other ending values of the other plc´s. The station number will be added to the last value of the IP adress that you will get the complete 192.168.100.22 out of these settings.
You can read and write datablocks, marker words, input and output words without any changes in your plc program.
There is no gsd file for the Tia portal.

Good Day ,
I have a problem to communicate a VTP- TC155 panel with a PLC S7-300 315 2PN / DP that supports ISO on TCP , according to the help files link is through the CP 341-1 .
But I can set the link setting to VTP- TC155 as a passive device and generate the link with step 7 and the OC Wizard.
I'm using as TSAP 3/2 for both the PLC to the Panel and not the link.
Not if I 'm wrong with TSAP or necessarily need the CP341-1 . I hope you can help me.
Thank you

Correct if i'm wrong, but relating to this link,
the plc did not support ISO on TCP .
So a CP343-1 is required (or a NETLINK  or IBHLINK)
